Data is important to our design process and we use a market-leading geographic information system (GIS) platform to help create our trails. From the outset, GIS data helps us to understand property lines and council boundaries, roads, rivers and creeks, and other trails. This saves time and improves accuracy in the initial planning phase.
As well walking the trails, GIS enables us to conduct further terrain analysis and 3D modelling to get a complete picture of the proposed site.
During the design process we consider all variables, such as potential hazards. Our trails are designed with cultural and environmental sensitivity, ensuring tracks seamlessly blend into the natural surroundings and immerse users in nature. In addition to the construction of trails, we also produce, install and maintain wayfinding signage. This includes onsite maps and user information, directional signage, and warning and cautionary signs. We believe wayfinding is critical to delivering a positive experience by encouraging safe usage, and keeping recreational activity contained to the trail to protect the surrounding land.
Signs are produced using heat and water-resistant materials and installed in positions along the trail that are both visible and accessible toall users, and respectful of the natural environment.As part of our end-to-end delivery and commitment to ongoing trail maintenance, we ensure all signs are accurate and free from damage or obstruction.
