Gramzow Road Link is a 1.6 km machine-built blue trail that runs along a narrow corridor of council-owned land between private properties. Its primary function is to connect the Cornubia and Bayview trail networks.

Trailworx was engaged by Logan City Council to carry out remediation works aimed at improving the trail’s sustainability. This came after ongoing issues with water seepage and poor-performing wet weather soils were identified along key sections.
To address the problem, Trailworx focused on ‘hardening’ critical soft spots along the alignment. This involved bringing in approximately 60 tonnes of sandstone rock. Sandstone was selected for its natural grip, helping prevent riders from slipping, and for its practical size, which made it easier to work with in tight areas.

Due to budget limitations, the full desired scope of works was not achievable. Logan City Council had initially envisioned constructing the entire series of stacked switchbacks from sandstone, creating a visually striking and memorable feature for riders. While that ideal remains a longer-term goal, key remediation areas were prioritised to ensure rider safety and improved trail longevity.
